Digital Issues Related To Child Online Material (DIRT-COM)  
2 CPD credits

Time frame: 2 hours
Format: In person
​Cost: $100 per person

This two-hour presentation is designed to equip social workers with the knowledge and tools needed to support clients affected by Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) and child luring. The session will provide:
  • A clear overview of CSEM and child luring, including key terminology and evolving language around these crimes
  • Guidance to help in reporting for professionals
  • Best practices for the effective preservation of evidence and digital materials
  • Real-world case studies illustrating how digital forensics contributed to investigations and outcomes
By the end of the session, attendees will better understand their role in supporting survivors, collaborating with law enforcement, and ensuring the integrity of digital evidence.

ESafety in a Digital World 
4 CPD credits

Time frame: 4 hours
Format: In person
​Cost: $200 per person

This four-hour training is designed for social workers and professionals responding to family violence cases involving digital elements. Participants will gain foundational knowledge in identifying and preserving digital evidence in the context of domestic abuse investigations and cyber stalking.
Key topics include:
  • Identifying and handling digital information during investigations
  • Recognizing signs and patterns of cyber stalking
  • Understanding technology-facilitated abuse
  • The role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in abuse cases
  • Awareness of hidden recording devices
  • Navigating social media and digital platforms for evidence and support
  • Tools and techniques to help protect individuals at risk
By the end of the course, participants will be better equipped to safeguard vulnerable individuals in a digital landscape and incorporate technology-aware strategies into their professional practice.
